Working and training hard pays off. Since 2014, Ian Flores has been faithfully training once a week at IRST Academy with a program designed by Jeff Thwaites. The box to box midfielder was selected as an All State high school soccer player, one of the first four Juniors from his school in 11 years. He isn in the pool of players for Florida’s ODP and a final 8 candidate for the Brooke House College scholarship in Leicestershire, England. Ian has represented the US with the GFL teams that successfully toured and played 12 games against top Bundesliga Academy Teams in Germany the last 2 years. The box to box midfielder spent over 30 days between Munich and Duisburg displaying his skills, drawing attention from Bundesliga scouts and earning one of 3 invites with Bundesliga’s Munich 1860 Academy Team. Ian comes from being selected by the US Soccer Federation to be part of the players invited to train at their National Training Center at Clermont, Fl in 2014 and 2015. The Federation’s Training Centers are empowered and charged with developing the teams that represent the US in all international competitions such as the Olympics and World Cup. The FC Tampa Rangers captain and Wiregrass Ranch High School starter maintains a 20 hour weekly training schedule mentored by former Pro player Mike Connell.
